Wastewater to Wattage

According to University of Toronto research, the energy stored in Toronto’s municipal wastewater could be harnessed to run water treatment facilities and contribute power to the city grid. Back in 2004, David Bagley, a scientist at the university, calculated that the energy potential in wastewater was approximately 10 times the cost to treat it.
